Steps to Becoming an ROHCG Volunteer
- Check www.volunteerottawa.ca under Volunteer Opportunities, Member Agencies, Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre to see what the current vacancies are. If there is a match with your interests and your time availability, contact the Volunteer Services office via the phone number or email address listed in the job posting to schedule a personal interview with the Director of Volunteer Services at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre.
- Just prior to the interview you will be asked to fill in an application form; please bring a copy of your resume to attach to this application.
- At the interview, you will be asked to tell us about yourself, including your interests, skills, and reasons for wanting to volunteer.
- The Director will offer you a volunteer position if a suitable opening matches your skills, abilities, interests and availability. If a suitable match is not currently available, other options may be discussed.
- Once all the paperwork is completed, you will be provided with a Position Description, a Volunteer Manual, and an ID badge as well as specific training prior to beginning your volunteer work.
