Dr. AG Ahmed

Recently elected to Vice-President of Medical Staff, Dr. AG Ahmed has been a psychiatrist with the Integrated Forensic Program of the ROHCG since 2000 and is currently the Clinical Director, Southeast Forensic Services and Director of the Anger Disorders Clinic, Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and he also has a cross appointment in the School Criminology at the university.

Dr. Ahmed received his Medical Education in Nigeria and began his Residency in Psychiatry at the World Health Organization for Research and Training in Mental Health which he later completed at University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He also holds an MSc in Addictions, and Masters of Psychological Medicine, both from United Kingdom and a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) specializing in Health Law, from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a member of the Editorial board of the Quarterly Journal of Mental Health.
