The City of Brockville is host to countless festivals, events and fun activities. Celtic Festival, Buskers, Riverfest, Ribfest, Automotion, and 1000 Islands Poker Run attract over four hundred thousand people to the region.

Brockville also offers many recreational activities, both in summer and winter including boating, fishing, sailing, camping and golfing (at five local courses and another 35 within a one hour drive!), scuba diving (best fresh water diving in the world), cycling, hiking, cross country skiing (downhill within a 2 hour drive), snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice boating, hockey or just skating on the river.

The educational facilities throughout Brockville are known for their high standards, both public and separate schools are located throughout the community, a number of them offering French as a second language. Brockville is also home to St. Lawrence Community College.
